About Us
The Africa Centre For International Development (ACFID) is a training, consulting and advisory firm located in Douglasdale, Johannesburg, South Africa.
Our training services are driven by our belief that well-equipped employees are pivotal to achieving excellence, driving innovation, and securing a prosperous future for businesses and governments, resulting in better, impactful outcomes.

3. Research Services Unit – providing research services for clients, across various disciplines.
The team behind the Africa Centre For International Development (ACFID) has collectively more than 50 years experience in finance, administration, project management, economic development and human capital development, having worked for various local and international organisations. From providing support and consultancy services to institutions like the UNDP, EU, SADC, COMESA, various African governments and the UK government, the directors of ACFID decided to leverage this expertise to provide locally informed, evidence-based, tailor-made solutions covering training, consultancy and strategy to public and private sector institutions.
The ACFID team has also developed various government policies, including MSME Policies, Investment Policies and policies and programmes aimed at youth empowerment and revatilisation of dying communities.
We also work with Investment Promotion Agencies in the areas of investment policy development and review; investment legislation development and review; investment and IPA strategy (these are distinct and separate strategies); lead generation; IPA training and capacity building programme, hosting and organising investment events and gatherings on behalf of IPA’s and lastly managing IPA targeting and promotion programmes, through part representation within Southern Africa, mostly South Africa.
